I had the great honor of presenting at the 2018 Horticulture Industries Show organized by Oklahoma State University and the University of Arkansas on Friday, January 5th. I met a lot of great people, learned a great deal, and had a fantastic time. Thank you to the organizers of the event for allowing me to speak!
You can watch the video below to see my presentation where I talk about what led us to start growing food, how we converted our back yard from an urban lawn into organic food, and the mobile app we created to help you do the same!

I feel so left out, although I am almost 2,000 miles away! A few have been writing about this event.
Hey Tony! Thanks for checking out my blog. I just looked around on yours and really liked it. I love the big, beautiful photos you use for your headers. Did you come from Oklahoma originally?
Big beautiful photos? I just have not bothered to crop them yet. Thank you anyway. I am not from Oklahoma, but have always been fascinated with it. My maternal-maternal great grandmother (the mother of my mother’s mother) was from Hoot Owl Creek, near Red Oak, in Southeastern Oklahoma, so I grew up hearing about it. Oklahoma seemed like such a magical place to me. It certainly did not disappoint. I am a native of California, and have not been out of California much.
