How to Grow:

It is best to plant fruit trees after your last spring frost. You can also plant 8 weeks before your first fall frost. You can see specific dates for your location using our FREE iOS, Android, and Universal Web App.

Dig a hole that is a few inches bigger than your pot the peach tree has come in. You can space dwarf trees 10 feet apart and standard size 15 feet apart in full sun. Take care to notice what plants are around the area as well, see the companion plant section below. Water your peach tree regularly.

Companion Plants:

Companion planting is a vital part of organic gardening. Companion plants assist in the growth of others by attracting beneficial insects, repelling pests, or providing nutrients, shade, or support. There are also plants that do not like being next to each other. Some plants get too tall and can provide too much shade for your plant. Sometimes certain plants attract the same pests, so it is important to try and separate these. Herbs are especially great companion plants because they help to repel pests from your other plants!

Harvesting:

Peaches will begin to produce within 2-4 years of transplanting. You will know when peaches are fully ripe by the color change from green to yellow. Ripe peaches should come off the tree with only a slight twist and pull.

Cooking & Eating!

Peaches fresh off the tree are amazing! You can store them in the refrigerator for almost a week. They are fantastic simply fresh, or can be included in jams, pies, canned, or frozen!
