There is an amazing opportunity next week to learn from one of the most well-known and respected resources in the country! Seed Savers Exchange is coming to Myriad Botanical Gardens in Oklahoma City next week and their free class on Tuesday is one you definitely don’t want to miss!
Learn the background of seed libraries and the best strategies for saving seeds. Participate in a seed swap demonstration activity. This event is free! Led by Philip Kauth, Ph.D., Director of Preservation. Philip joined Seed Savers Exchange in 2013 as the tissue culture lab manager and was an assistant curator in charge of the evaluation program. Philip is head of the Preservation Department tasked with maintaining the vast collection of over 25,000 open-pollinated varieties. Philip has an MS and Ph.D. in horticultural sciences from the University of Florida.
Each participant will receive free heirloom vegetable seeds!
